Field Street Fitness opened it’s doors for the first time on Saturday 10th February when Cllr. Claire Poole cut the ribbon at 9am before what was to prove a very busy day greeting dozens of new members and people keen to see Shepshed’s first and only fitness centre.
Shepshed can now boast a brand new and much needed fitness facility for the community and surrounding villages.
Field Street Fitness offers a wide range of cardio and resistance machines together with a selection of free weights. A separate room from the gym can be found and used for floor exercises and stretching. Members have access to both locker and toilet facilities and can enjoy a shower after exercise.
Working alongside fitness trainer Nick will be Dillon who is currently taking part in a Level 2 Fitness Instructor apprenticeship. Together we provide personal one-to-one training sessions, tailored fitness programmes and will always make time to offer all members advice to help achieve their personal goals.
Nick Eaton - Director - Trainer
Living nearby, I was amazed to find that Shepshed had no fitness facilities and that people were having to travel out of town to exercise.
I hope that by providing the local community with a fitness facility will prove more convenient to villagers and that Field Street Fitness will be a popular choice for all those wishing to improve their health and well-being. If you’re passing by, please pop in and have a look around at what we have to offer.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
Dillon Rawson - Apprentice Fitness Instructor
Having always been involved in sports since a very young age, i have always wanted to make a career in the sports or fitness industry. Having just completed my Sport BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma it was only right for me to extend my knowledge by doing the Level 2 Gym Instructor apprenticeship here at Field Street Fitness. Here my aim is to gain experience and knowledge, whilst also helping people reach their fitness goals.
